Challenging kids to explore their talents should be treated as a matter of prime importance. Our schools do their part, but we know there is still so much left for us parents and guardians to do. 

Encourage and support your child(ren) in their efforts to hone their skills. This might mean you being 'bored' listening to an idea they are sharing, watching a youtube video together, or sacrificing your time to do what they like. Bottom line is, you need to find a way to show your kids that you care by being present. Due to our busy schedules, we all get tempted to think material gifts makes our children happy, but the truth it, its just temporal. You want to give your children gifts that lasts a life time and that begins with you making yourself available to them and taking interest in what they love.

By showing interest in what your kids like, you are in a better position to guide them. Challenge yourself to do further research in thier area of interest. You may be surprise at the wonders you find.
